Temoto
Fumbling around for a pen to journal or jot creative ideas? Need to stay hydrated with a bottle nearby? Favoring your tissue box for your stubborn allergy? Items inevitably piling up cluttering your nightstand? Inspired by the Japanese word “temoto” which means “at hand”. Temoto is a nightstand that centers around this idea featuring a cavity that allows pluggable at hand conveniences and personalized organization for our common waking and bedtime rituals. Crafted in a Japandi style with real white maple.

A deep drawer for books, journals, and small devices. A top tray for smaller items like jewelry, medicine, glasses.
The sliding table top reveals a hidden rear cubby for easy access to an outlet. The mesh bottom prevents the gathering of dust.
Tool-less Assembly
The cross dowel and pin slide together and the pieces are held together with pressure. This eliminates the need of requiring hand or power tools.
Design goals
1. Solve everything I hated about nightstands.
2. Create a unique way of joining wood furniture together.
